Hollie Chastain

It's my last week at work and I don't have a lot do to (like most of the time...) so to not get crazy watching the time pass, I surf the net and I discoved this website about posters call Poster Cabaret. There's ton of great porters, but the ones made by Hollie Chastain grab my attention. I like how she work with vintage collage papers.

Sketchbooks

I use to always having a sketch book and just taking a look at these amazing pages made by Anna Rusakova makes me want to have one again. For a long time now, I sort of find it irresistible to do illustrations on a sketchbook or any paper. Also if you have read my blog before you might see that most of the illustration postings are from a sketchbook.

I would like to draw more in 2011 and it is time for me to create some brand new drawings and try to draw something other than girls...

I just found a found this marvelous project: The Sketchbook project. Sadly the signup to participate is over. The Art House Co-op is behind this project and participants get sent a blank sketchbook for you to draw all over it. You then send it back to them when it’s filled. Finally then your sketchbook is exhibited at galleries as it makes its way across the country on a tour! Is that amazing???
Well next year for sure I'm in! But for now, I am gonna pratice...

Charlotte Farmer

Oh oh my... I just discoverd this amazing freelance illustrator (my dream job yet to happen, please !!). She is from UK and I really like her work.
Check it out

She is also making prints on plate and I love this median for illustrations. I wish we had more product like this in Montreal mainly due to the fact that my salary working for a dance company doesn't allow me to order things that have a price with £.

One of my dream-goal would be to become a part-time freelance illustrator. While doing research on the web about it, I discover an amazing artist; Laura Mckellar. She is a freelance graphic designer living in Melbourne, Australia.

She does digital prints on fabric, which she then hand-embroiders.

And she also doing zines !!!
