Stay Gold Mary Rose
StayGoldMaryRose (what an amazing name for a brand!) is a collection of creations by British designer Abigail MaryRose Clark. She has been designing and making her 'Repurposed Vintage Teacup Bracelets' since 2004. Wow, the eco-designer in me really like her stuff.

Les Queues de Sardines
I'm more a skirt/dress girlthan a jeans girl, so I need a lot of tights...
I just discovers this french line; Les Queues de Sardines notable for their unconventional and unique graphic style. Add a pinch of narrative humor - the result is a choice of elegant and unusual models that will dress up your legs with an unusual stylish and elegant pattern. Screen-printed by hand in limited quantities, these rare and exclusive articles will never go unnoticed. I love it!!!
I found a couples of websites where we can buy them online, but its sooo expensive when I convert the euros in Canadian money + the shipping but here's the link:
Up Factory
Suicidal Shop
I guess I'll wait to my next trip in New York to buy a pair at the Blue Tree boutique

POP Montreal T-Shirt Design contest
Hé oui, another t-shirt contest!
I didn’t succeed at the moniker t-shirt contest, but it didn’t discourage me for applying to one more challenge. Pop Montreal is having their first annual t-shirt contest. The task was to design a T-shirt for POP Montreal incorporating at least one version of their logo and using only two colors (the t-shirt is going to be ash gray).
I’ll try to submit a other one this week, yes you still have time to participate; the dead line is March the 4th. You can read all the info here.
Good luck, cause only two winning designs will be unveiled.

MACHINE WASH COLD contest
I want to submit a design (maybe 2) at MACHINE WASH COLD- TUMBLE DRY LOW.
This is an artist and apparel showcase that Moniker curate, print and host since a couple of years in Montreal. The items that would be printed for this show will join their limited edition clothing line.
I didn’t give much time on this project and I kind of just play with the same idea, but I really don’t know which of those tees I should propose...
Any suggestions, please? The dealine is Friday...

A visite at The Founderie boutique
Last weekend, on my way to the market, I stop at the founderie boutique. I only came onces at the opening vernissage and I was curious to see how it is now.
The clothing’s are nice high end vintage pieces but what I prefer about this store is the merchandising of the product; the design of the entire store is impeccable. Everything I saw was subtly organized by some kind of very balanced and deliberate color scheme.
The owner definitely has a knack for finding amazing vintage furniture/decorations and the result is colorful, filled with interesting details and loaded with art.
See what I mean ?!!

I discover those mix and match pictures and I think it’s brilliant. The girl had a file full with street styling pictures and she decided to paired them with paintings, labels, nature…

New year party look
I adore this look! You may be already aware of my love affair with bows; yet the make-up thing is new. I am thinking of doing something similar on New Year eve. It is always a good night for being a little bit crazy or edgy with your outfit.
I am still not sure if I will have the guts to do it, but I am definitely going to try it at home.

MOLYKULTE' big sale !!
Well, well welcome to my world of busyness; another week without a lot of blogs posting and for a second time, no Thursday vernissage.
I am busy, busy because I have been preparing all week (after my 9h to 5h job...) for this event:
For those who didn’t know, I used to be a fashion designer with my own boutique and everything (which includes the stress of being super poor and working all the time). The story goes back years and years ago, I started a business with my best friend. Our brand was called MOLYKULTE and we were well known for creating a really good kind of trashy-eco-unique clothing.
This is all over now, we have moved on and we are both very happy with our new lives. There is still, tons of clothing, fabrics and accessories from past seasons and collections we have made
(u can imagine how many sewing additions we are still haveand prices to make them go will be fair).
This is why we are doing this amazing sale/gift this weekend.
This sale is not just about clothing, there is also happens to be furniture: a microwave, silkscreen ink, film, shelves, industrial sewing machines (2) and so much more!
Please come by even just to say "Hi" if you were a old customer; or if you are needing supplies to get started regardless : tell everyone about it!
For more info, see our Facebook event here

Thursady vernissage
Here I am again talking about a vernissage coming up this Thursday! I simply love these events and I am thankful that Montreal is casual enough that I have no problem to attend a lot of launch nights without the need or a big time RSVP.
So here I am again, in a mood for something new and this week maybe something more “Chic”. The thing is I still have many dresses from my past life as a fashion designer and not enough occasions to wear them and I need to wear them when I can... and to help complement the dress when I wear it - a new sexy pair of shoes I bought in NY that need to be broken in.
This week I am going to the opening party of an international exhibition call “Fashion Stills” at the Sofitel Hotel (oui, oui). They promise free champagne and hors d’oeuvres...
and of course; a nice exhibition of fashion photography. What`s better then eating empty orgasmic calories while looking at skinny models? One chance Françoise Huguier is one of the photographer exposing:
Seriously; this event looks great and is a great excuse to get a little chic and get out there. The exhibition is apparently an open door to a unique testimony to Haute Couture which will be featuring the greatest of the fashion houses like Dior, Chanel, Yves Saint-Laurent...
Well I am just hoping the people there are not going to be to snobby and I am going to enjoy a nice 6h to 8h after a looong day at work. Feel free to come, I need more “outsiders” to pass the night incognito...

The winner of Fashion Pop 2010
Natasha Thomas is the big winner of this years Fashion Pop. I really like her style and if I had money, I will try to get one of her trenchcoat. One day, one day...

Outfits from a New Era
My friend/partner in crime of Molykulte and I are participating in a exhibition call O.N.E Objets Non Enfouis :: Outfits from a New Era. This event is all about making a dress with recycled material and is the second edition after a break of three years. We participated in 2007 and the challenge was to make a dress with shotgun shells. In our design we used up somewhere near 1450 shells and trust me it is a very hard material to work with. It took us a nearly a good two weeks non-stop to finally create something that a model can wear and walk on the runway with.
In early July of this year we received a call from K - the girl who was in charge of the formentioned project- she mentioned that she was redoing the event with new designers and she decided to choose four dresses from the last 2007 show for the new show; and guess what...? we were chosen. What that meant for us was that we had to dust off and re-work the dress that happend to be stuck in a box for quite some time.
So now the dress needs to be ready for October 10th and for some reason we have only started to work on it last night... I just got back from my workshop and I worked 3 hours on it, can you see any difference?
