Last weekend, on my way to the market, I stop at the founderie boutique. I only came onces at the opening vernissage and I was curious to see how it is now.
The clothing’s are nice high end vintage pieces but what I prefer about this store is the merchandising of the product; the design of the entire store is impeccable. Everything I saw was subtly organized by some kind of very balanced and deliberate color scheme.
The owner definitely has a knack for finding amazing vintage furniture/decorations and the result is colorful, filled with interesting details and loaded with art.
See what I mean ?!!
F#@! I am so tired of buying new pair of tights that I am accepting this is as my new fashion look…
Yeah, I still feel a tad shy; at work I take off my boots and put my shoes really fast to avoid someone noticing.
This documentary looks interesting to me because it involves food and art.
A Mounthful is the work of director Sally Rowe and follows the chef Liebrandt. He him followed the chef at the time his was well know as the most original chef in New York to his downfall and all the way to his recent comeback as the head of TriBeCa’s Corton. Liebrandt, with his challenging avant-garde cuisine became the youngest chef ever awarded three starts from The New York Times but also, one of the most controversial cooks in town. The film premieres will be at the South by southwest Film Festival in March, so I guess I’ll have to be patient to see it.
Welcome to the Dune House, in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Designed by the architect William Morgan in 1975, this double height apartments carved into a sand dune!
I love it!
This is exactly the kind of cakes I would like to make!
I don’t bake stuff cause I have unlike falling recipes but in the case of baking a cake, it’s really important, it’s like doing science; all the ingredients has to have to good amount. But when I look at the SundayCake –invented byDanklhampela Viennese product/design duo- I am willing to retry my baking experience. Imagine making a cake that is divided into different segments of various shapes, sizes and of course flavors! The result asno choice to be an artful creation that will satisfy all craving. And it doesn’t matter that much if in the beginning I don’t succeed one part!
Hurry up and buy tickets if you are interesting in seeing dance shows from the COMPAGNIE MARIE CHOUINARD. It’s not often that they are performing in Montreal and also doing for different representations.
I choosed to go see bODY_rEMIX because it looks very fascinating. From what I witnessed from some extracts on the web and what I heard from my co-workers who saw it, this dissonant choreography about the beauty and frailty of the human body look amazing.
I saw Les Trous du ciel in January when they were rehashing the show (it was never been dance since ten years) as a practiced for the April run and it was interesting...Sorry for my lack of vocabulary, but I don’t know a lot about the “dance world” and from what I saw so far (and it was also always from the same dance company), I am still not sure if it’s the kind of art that touch me. But I am willing to see more and more shows and hopefuly get a better and strongly opinion about it…
I don’t know what I have these days, I feel like doing nothing after work; good bye my good habits of going to the gym or clean and cook. No, I come home, go straight in the kitchen and I eat tortillas chips until it’s not fun anymore (need to ask my boyfriend to hide them from me when his going to come home) and then, I read, read and read. It feels so good to forget everything and lived the life of someone else for a view hours.
Maybe it’s because my job is really boring since a few weeks. I am getting anxious again about my future. Shit de shit. I am afraid that if I stay there for too long I will never get my dream job - ok, I’m not sure what it is yet – but I want to use my creativity again, I truly miss contributing to projects and give my original ideas…
So since two weeks, I am slowly back on jobs searches. I checked 3-4 times a week and applied to a small amount of positions and also to company I would like to work for. Of course, the only feedback I received so far was from those companies. They say I would be a nice complement in their team, but there are not hiring now…
Anyway, I am not going to make a big deal about it now. I still okay at my job, I just really realized I can’t stay there; I deserve way better in tern of challenge. So I’m patient, I’m looking and let see what is going to happen…
